The waterways of Anderson County are still very much alive and inviting for all your paddling desires. So, grab your paddles and gear up for unforgettable experiences on the Ultimate Waterway, featuring stunning Norris Lake, the meandering Clinch River, and the serene Melton Hill Lake.
Norris Lake – Nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Anderson County, Norris Lake stands as a testament to nature’s splendor. Rentals available at Adventures Outdoors – Rentals are available at two different locations making it possible to paddle at different waterways in Anderson County. Norris Paddling Adventures, located at Norris Dam Marina offers rentals to be used on Norris Lake and the Clinch River. Adventures Outdoors is located on Melton Hill Lake in Oak Ridge. Both rental locations offer kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, hydro-bikes and paddleboats. If you are new to paddlesports, don’t worry. A quick lesson will be given to ensure you have a fantastic and safe time on the water.
Paddling up river is difficult and not a common practice when the water is generatingon the Clinch and Melton Hill. If you would like to be shuttled back to your car, contact the Fisherman’s Friend Shuttle Service.
