All vehicles are welcome, from ATVs and Side-by-Sides, to Jeeps, buggies and dirt and mountain bikes. The trails are marked from easy to difficult and range from paved and gravel to dirt and mud. The trails are open from are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year, so any day is the perfect day to ride. To access the OHV area, each person must have a Land Use Permit regardless of age or activity.
If you are visiting and do not have your off-road vehicle with you, don’t worry, you can rent one at the park. There are also numerous lodging options at the park and in nearby towns. At Windrock Park, you will find rustic campsites, RV sites, deluxe cabins and mini cabins. Also, adjacent to the park with direct riding access, there are other campgrounds and cabins, or you can find a hotel in Rocky Top, which also has direct riding access to the trails.
Not only is Anderson County home to Windrock Park, but there are a number of other places where you can ride! If you go off-roading at the North Cumberland Wildlife Management Area, you’ll not only be in for a great adventure, but you’ll have the chance to see some wildlife while you ride. You can also visit Chuck Swan Wildlife Management area, which is situated on a peninsula in the center of Norris Lake and offers the ultimate outdoor experience for those on off-road vehicles.
