21st Annual Renaissance Run

Event Date: May 07, 2022 - May 07, 2022

21st Annual Renaissance Run

The 21st annual Renaissance Run will take place on Saturday, May 7 th in Norris, TN. The 5K event begins at the Norris Middle School, winds through historic neighborhoods, which are moderately hilly, and returns to downtown Norris. Registration is now taking place online. To sign up for the Norris Renaissance Run go online to ETF.ORG/NACFRUN.

There are three categories for participants to choose from: 5K Run, 1 Mile Fun Walk, and the new Virtual Experience. All three categories will be eligible for race shirts and the 5K and 1 Mile in person registrants will be eligible for race prizes and door prizes. The Virtual Experience is a great option for those unable to participate in one of the in-person events. This Virtual option allows them to register, receive a race t-shirt (if registered by April 15), and then participate by running a 5K, 1 Mile Walk, or just getting outside and enjoying the day, knowing that they are supporting great things in the Norris and surrounding area from wherever they may be in the world on May 7th! We also encourage Virtual Participants to share photos of their Virtual activity on our Facebook Page: @NACFRENAISSANCERUN.

Medals and prizes will be awarded to the top three overall In-Person 5K winners in both the male and female divisions. In addition, 1st and 2nd place medals will be awarded to a male and a female participants in each of the following 5K categories: CHILDREN (11 yrs and younger), JUNIORS (12-18 yrs) OPEN (18-39 yrs), MASTERS (40-59 yrs) and SENIORS (60 yrs & older).

In addition to the 5K run, there will also be a 1-mile “Fun Walk” that meanders around the beautiful, tree lined Norris “Commons” area. Youngsters and baby carriages are welcomed on this slow-paced enjoyable walk by picturesque cottages built over 80 years ago by TVA.

All registered runners and walkers that attend the event will be eligible to receive a variety of door prizes from local businesses at the conclusion of the race.

The deadline for securing a high-quality 2022 Renaissance Run T-shirt at no additional cost is April 18th. After this date, t-shirts will only be available on a first-come/first-serve basis. Registration will take place through May 6th, however, participants are encouraged to register by April 18th as there will be a $5 increase in registration fees after that date.
