The term “Appalachian” is not only the name of the mountain range in Eastern North America. It also refers to a unique American culture of crafts, music, cuisine, heritage, and beliefs. And more importantly, it is about the people of this mountain range that embody that culture.  The Museum of Appalachia hosts this annual dinner and awards ceremony to honor the people whose accomplishments have cultivated greater awareness and understanding of the Appalachian culture.
