Step back in time and experience Tennessee frontier life at the annual Living History Days, taking place April 26–27 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the historic David Hall Cabins in Claxton, Tennessee. This engaging, family-friendly event brings history to life with a wide array of activities and demonstrations, including blacksmithing, leatherworking, butter churning, storytelling, Civil War reenactors, live music, and period crafts. Visitors can tour one of Anderson County’s oldest surviving homes and learn about the daily lives of early settlers and soldiers. Enjoy food vendors, historical displays, and hands-on activities for all ages. A special Constitution Day bell ringing ceremony will take place on Saturday at 4 p.m. Admission is free, and donations are welcomed to support the preservation and restoration of this important historic site. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy a weekend filled with heritage, learning, and community spirit.
