DESCRIPTION:Experience the beauty of fall on Norris Lake with scenic boat cruises. Enjoy vibrant autumn colors reflected on the water\, crisp mountain air\, and serene views of the surrounding mountains\, making it a perfect way to relax and take in the season’s charm.  Join the Norris Dam State Park Rangers at Norris Dam Marina as they venture along the shores of Norris Lake via pontoon boat.\n\nEach boat ride will last approximately one hour and will depart from the Norris Dam Marina. Park Rangers will narrate your trip with tree identification and park history. Limited to only 10 people. This trip is $18.00 per adult (7 years and over) and $12.00 per child (6 years and under).\n\n\n\n\nChildren under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. If you plan on bringing children please bring a life jacket for them as children 12 and under are required to wear life jackets while on the open deck of a recreational boat except when anchored\, moored\, or aground. To sign up for this trip please register online (CLICK HERE) or call the park office at 865-425-4500. Trips will be dependent on good weather. \nTrips offered at 12:30\, 2 and 3 p.m. dailey. DESCRIPTION:The half-marathon route starts at the scenic Melton Lake Park peninsula.  Considered a great PR course!  The course runs along the beautiful Melton Lake\, then down by an operational quarry for a change of scenery. Continue along a serene tree-lined private road\, then wind through Oak Ridge.  Finish your race along the water’s edge right back to the peninsula.  Course is USATF certified with certification # TN15066MS. \nThe 5K race route starts and finishes at the Melton Lake Park peninsula.  The course follows the water’s edge along Melton Lake to Elza Gate Park\, then double back down the walking trail to the peninsula.  A very scenic\, easy\,  and enjoyable 5K run.
