The Secret City Head Race brings the excitement of fall racing to Oak Ridge, welcoming athletes, coaches, and spectators to two days of head race competition on Melton Lake, featuring our traditional Clinch River/Melton Lake Reservoir downstream course on Saturday and our throwback upstream course on Sunday. The Saturday Event List is structured to allow up to two races (maximum) per athlete and includes a 3200-meter U15 Event series in 8+ and 4+ for our younger athletes. Sunday is a shorter race day, finishing in the early afternoon. The Sunday event list follows a structure that gives everyone an opportunity to challenge the upstream course.
Spectators are welcome.
