SONGBIRD TRAIL ON CLINCH RIVER

The songbird trail is very popular among locals who mostly use it for exercising and walking their dogs.  But, this two-mile loop offers so much more.

The Songbird Trail was built by TVA to showcase Norris Dam and the Clinch River. It is a flat, gravel, foot-traffic-only, trail with several great spots along the way to take in the scenic views of the Clinch River and surrounding mountains. Along the trail, be on the lookout for wildlife from whitetail deer to unique birds. You’ll also find many seasonal wildflowers along the trail.

The songbird trail is a great place to fish the Clinch with its many access points.  The river is most known for rainbow and brown trout. You can fish from the bank or wade or use the trail to launch a kayak.

The trail is also a great place to spend a relaxing afternoon reading a book or enjoying a picnic.
