OAK RIDGE HISTORY MUSEUM

Learn about the history of Oak Ridge and how people lived during the Manhattan Project. The Secret City of Oak Ridge was one of three Secret Cities formed during World War II dedicated to the creation of an atomic bomb. The Oak Ridge History Center features displays on the unique housing built for the workers, life in the Secret City and the facilities that built the components of the atomic bombs. Tours of Oak Ridge are available for groups.
